QWhat is JR series low voltage wound rotor motor?

AJR series are general industrial low voltage three-phase wound rotor aSynchronous Motors, equipped with slip ring and brush assemblies. External starting resistors can be connected to the rotor. They fit 380V industrial low-voltage power grid and are mainly applied to heavy-load startup conditions.

QIs direct short-circuit startup of slip rings allowed for JR series motor?

ADirect slip ring short-circuit startup is strictly prohibited. All starting resistors must be connected to rotor circuit before startup, and resistors shall be cut off step by step during acceleration. Direct short-circuit will generate huge surge current, burn stator and rotor windings and damage transformers. The slip rings can only be short-circuited for continuous operation after the motor reaches rated speed.

QWhat application fields and equipment are JR motors suitable for?

AApplicable to mining ball mills, mine hoists, heavy belt conveyors, metallurgical winches, crushers and port lifting equipment. Not recommended for ordinary fans, water pumps or long-term light-load variable frequency speed regulation scenarios.
